Thought for the day: "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." Scott Adams

August was spent getting ready for Indian Market, going to Indian Market and remembering Indian Market. You can see how diverse the art is in these photos. More photos! A doll by Joyce Growing Thunder won Best of Classification in Beadwork and Quillwork. Jerry Ingram won a blue and a red ribbon for his beadwork. Jerry is a fabulous beader and has work in several museums. He now has some work in the Michael Henington Gallery in Santa Fe.

I'm been designing patterns inspired by Faberge Imperial Eggs. Since I can't buy (or steal!) one of the real ones a beaded one will have to do!

Fall is beginning in Santa Fe! I love, love, love fall. The chile roasters are at work all over town and I have 3 new ristras hanging on my front porch. Now I'm ready for a pinon fire in the fireplace!

Until next time, bead well.
